But what good is fashion if there is no function? This jacket is made from waxed canvas, making it water resistant and perfect for the outdoors. Carefully designed features such as a full coverage chest and adjustable buckle straps are sure to make your walks in the rain (and clean up once you get home!) more enjoyable.
Each base jacket shell is made with a lightweight yet durable waxed canvas body and lined with water resistant ripstop for additional protection. Collar and hood lining are made from cotton flannel.

Shell: Waxed canvas is an amazing material that is long lasting and water resistant, but does need a bit of care over time to maintain its repellence. You should not machine wash, dry clean, or use detergent on your waxed canvas products. To clean, gently use a scrub brush with water, rinse, and let dry. For spots or stains, use a mild bar soap, saddle soap, or waxed canvas cleaner, but always test a small area first. After significant wear (such as your jacket has dried out or lost water repellence), it is suggested that you re-wax your bag with a product such as Otter Wax.
Most sizes are currently handmade to order at the time of purchase. Items typically ship in 5-10 days. If you live in Portland and would like to pick you jacket up, please use the contact form to email me and I am happy to reverse the shipping charge and schedule an appointment with you for pickup. - Shipping & Returns
Because we are a small business and can only keep limited stock on hand, some items are made to order. This is noted in each product description along with the processing time for cutting, sewing, and shipping. We appreciate your patience when ordering these products and assure you they are worth the wait! Also, if there is any chance our delivery time will take longer than expected, we promise to give you a heads up as soon as we know.
Currently the only option available for shipping is via USPS within the United States. Once your package is on its way, we'll do a little happy dance and send an email notification with tracking information so you can start doing a happy dance too!
If you have an address outside of the United States and would like to place an order, use the contact form to arrange the purchase with international shipping and customs duties.
If you need your order by a certain date, send us a note using the contact form and we will let you know our current processing time. Please also note that the 1-3 day shipping estimate is once your order is dropped off at the post office, not from when the order is placed. Once your order ships, Jo Rose Design is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages.
REFUNDS & EXCHANGES
Jo Rose Design stands behind the quality of our products and if you are not thrilled with your original purchase, we are happy to accommodate an exchange of equal value or store credit within 10 days of receiving your order.
Any returned item must be in its original, unused condition and you are responsible for paying for the return shipping and shipping for the exchanged item. To facilitate the exchange, please use the contact form to submit your information and receive a return authorization and exchange shipping instructions.
Because Jo Rose Design is a small business that often makes products to order, we cannot accept returns for a full refund. Each item is measured and photographed to best represent its size and color, but given that each item is individually handcrafted with unique materials, there may be slight variances.
Due to the nature of the work and materials cost for custom pieces, they are unable to be exchanged or refunded. To ensure customer satisfaction, Jo Rose Design works with customers to obtain accurate requirements and measurements up front before work has begun.
Jo Rose Design guarantees products against workmanship defects for 1 year from purchase. Please contact us if you believe your product is defective due to an issue with hardware such as zippers, buckles, rivets, snaps, or faulty workmanship.
We cannot guarantee products against damage caused by use of the product, such as general wear and tear. Please also understand before you place your order that natural materials like leather can have marks and scars on the surface, and this is not considered a flaw.
